Unique Wind Power Demonstration to Be Held at the Cleantech Innovation
Center/Oroville

The Sky Serpent--a Flying 'Superturbine' will be Unveiled at the High Altitude
Wind Power Conference on November 6

OROVILLE, Calif., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As part of the first High
Altitude Wind Power (HAWP) Conference to be held jointly at California State
University Chico and the Cleantech Innovation Center at Oroville on November 5
and 6, attendees will get a unique demonstration of the vast potential of the
new emerging forms of clean energy generation. On hand and speaking at the
conference will be inventor Doug Selsam who will show a "superturbine"(R)
energy generator named Sky Serpent(TM). The Sky Serpent is among a class of
new, ultra-light, ultra-efficient power generators that operate high in the
earth's atmosphere.

"We are excited to have Doug Selsam and the Sky Serpent on hand to give
attendees and others a tangible example of the great work being done in the
important field of high altitude wind power," said conference chairperson
Cristina Archer. "In fact, most of the world's leaders in the development
and commercialization of various technologies to tap the earth's high winds
for clean energy will be on hand at the conference."

Sponsored jointly by CSU Chico, the BayTEC Alliance, Recology and the
Cleantech Innovation Center, the conference is part of a regional strategy to
develop a world class cleantech economy in Northern California. BayTEC
Alliance is a public-private community initiative aimed at transforming the
regional economy; the Cleantech Innovation Center is its first flagship
project.

Besides the demonstration by Doug Selsam, speakers at the two-day event

a founder of Magenn Power and a renowned expert in advanced lighter-than-air
applications; JoeBen Bevirt, founder of Joby Energy; Corwin Hardham, CEO of
Makani Power; Len Shepard, CEO of Sky WindPower; and Robert Creighton, CEO of
WindLift.

The conference is open to anyone interested in new developments in airborne
