Outstanding Service to Industry

SANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- First American Exchange
Company, LLC, a member of The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF) family of
companies, announced today that Hugh E. Pollard, CES® has received The Margo
McDonnell Certified Exchange Specialists® Perpetual Award for Outstanding
Service from the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA).

The award was created in 2008 to honor Margo McDonnell, CES®, who is senior
vice president and regional sales manager for First American Exchange Company.
She was responsible for spearheading the industry's efforts to launch the
voluntary certification and continued education program. Each year, the FEA
recognizes a Certified Exchange Specialist® (CES) who has demonstrated
extraordinary service to the qualified intermediary industry.

Pollard, who is vice president and regional manager for First American
Exchange Company in Chicago, was honored for his service to the members of the
FEA and the exchange industry as a whole. While presenting the award during
the FEA's recent annual conference in Orlando, Fla., Margo McDonnell, who is
also the chair emeritus of the CES Certification Council, stated, "Hugh truly
represents the character and professionalism we hope all CES designees
possess. He is always willing to provide input and a voice of reason, when
needed, and continuously strives to protect the best interests of the CES
program while ensuring it provides a benefit to the FEA."

As an FEA Charter Council Member, Pollard helped shape the CES Program. After
serving on the Council for five years, he left to assume the role of president
of the FEA in 2007. In late 2008, he volunteered to serve a second term after
the incoming president of the FEA decided to step down.

First American Exchange Company has 24 CES designees on staff, including
Pollard and McDonnell.
