SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Refining London and the
California Dental Association Foundation have joined forces to launch a scrap
crown recycling program that provides dental services to children in need
throughout communities in California through the Crowns for Kids(TM) program.

It is estimated that millions of dollars worth of services would be provided
to underserved children statewide if the vast majority of dentists in
California participated in the Crowns for Kids program.

To participate in Crowns for Kids(TM), the CDA Foundation through Star
Refining provides a recycling jar for the dentists to collect scrap crowns
that contain precious metal. As a result of the money generated through these
collections, local community oral health access programs are then able to
receive grants through the CDA Foundation.

Tony Stern, chairman and president of Star Refining London says, "Our
company's charitable policy is shaped by the fact that we count ourselves
lucky to be in a thriving business and giving back a portion of our success to
worthy causes. Supporting the California Dental Association Foundation through
this program is as exciting as it gets."

For more information regarding this program contact Michael O'Donahue at the
California Dental Association at 916-554-4928 or Gina Stern at Star Refining
at 818-865-8580.
