REG-Severn Trent PLC: Total Voting Rights

Severn Trent Plc (the "Company") - Voting Rights and Capital

In accordance with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company would
like to notify the market of the following:

As at 2 November 2009, the Company's issued share capital consists of
236,566,445 ordinary shares of 9717/19pence each with voting rights. The
Company holds no shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting
rights in Severn Trent Plc is 236,566,445.

The above figure of 236,566,445 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Severn Trent Plc
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
