FRAZER, Pa., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cephalon, Inc. (Nasdaq: CEPH)
today announced that its Research and Development Day in New York City, to be
held on November 10, 2009, will be webcast live on the investor relations
section of its website at http://www.cephalon.com. 

Cephalon's senior management will review the company's product pipeline and
discuss research and development initiatives including its pipeline of
biologics from its recent acquisition of Arana Therapeutics.  In addition,
guest speakers will present data on two investigational medications,
Lupuzor(TM), for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus and Ception
Therapeutics, Inc.'s lead compound, reslizumab, a humanized monoclonal
antibody (mAb) against interleukin-5 for the treatment of pediatric
eosinophilic esophagitis and eosinophilic asthma in adults.  Cephalon holds an
option to acquire Ception.

The presentations will be delivered on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 beginning at
approximately 12:00 p.m. EST and ending at 3:00 p.m. EST. The webcast will be
