"Twilight" actress may materialize in "Apparition"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Ashley Greene is going from vampires to ghosts.

The actress, who portrays Alice Cullen in the "Twilight" movies, is in talks to star in "The Apparition," a supernatural horror project from Dark Castle Entertainment, purveyor of such thrillers as "Orphan" and "Whiteout."

Greene would act as the female lead in the story of a couple who are haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment.

Director Todd Lincoln wrote the script, which is said to be inspired by true events. Shooting is scheduled to begin February 1.
