FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(Business Wire)--
Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE) has launched a Fire & Emergency Medical
Services (EMS) Division with the assistance of Florida Professional Firefighters
Medical Director and former National Paramedic Institute president Dr. Steven
Katz. Kaplan`s online continuing education courses offer EMT CEUs online for
students recertifying their state certifications. The new division was created
to provide established fire and EMS professionals high quality online EMT,
paramedic and fire training for continuing education programs.

KCE`s Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and paramedic online training for CEUs
and recertification courses are led by expert instructors and provide case-based
continuing education. Specifically, Kaplan`s online training for EMT and
paramedic recertification courses are designed using real situations and
firefighters, EMS personnel and emergency physicians. In addition to EMT
recertification training, KCE`s EMS division provides online continuing
education courses for first responders and paramedics.

The EMS division is led by Dr. Steven Katz, M.D., FACEP, and EMT-P who became
part of Kaplan Continuing Education upon Kaplan`s acquisition of the National

are second to none. We utilize real case-based scenarios that are relevant to
today`s EMS professional in the field," said Dr. Steven Katz. "In joining with
