its ActiveAsset(TM) asset tracking and management application. ActiveAsset is
an important part of the Trapeze Medical program. Now, in addition to being
able to track and manage valuable equipment, personnel and patients,
ActiveAsset helps meet regulatory requirements for monitoring temperature
fluctuations of medical refrigeration and freezer units.

The new condition monitoring features utilize the built-in sensors of the
Newbury Wi-Fi asset tags to automatically measure temperatures of perishable
items and other condition-sensitive assets. Existing tags in the field
already have built-in temperature sensors. ActiveAsset delivers automatic
real-time logging and alerting on temperature fluctuations to provide clinical
staff such as nurses and pharmaceutical personnel with a reliable, automated
approach to ensure high levels of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
The solution leverages the hospital's existing WLAN infrastructure, requiring
no costly hardware overlay or proprietary communication protocol.
