Royal Institute of Technology Adopts OriGene Over-Expression Lysates in Human
Proteome Atlas Program

ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- OriGene Technologies, Inc. today
announced Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden has adopted its VERIFY
Tagged Antigen(TM) (Over-expression Lysates) in the Human Protein Atlas
program. This program is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation
and is set up to explore the human proteome systematically using
Antibody-Based Proteomics. "Generating high quality mono-specific antibodies
in a high throughput manner is critical for the success of the program,"
commented Prof Mathias Uhlen, Program Director. "In a pilot testing using
OriGene's over-expression cell lysates as Western blot positive controls, we
were able to increase antibody validation success rate from 30% to 80%. We are
extremely happy with the results and have decided to adopt these lysates in
the official Human Protein Atlas program." Dr. Wei-Wu He, CEO of OriGene
Technologies, commented, "We are honored to team up with a world renowned
researcher like Prof. Uhlen. OriGene has built the most comprehensive cDNA
clone collection. These over-expression lysates are the beginning of a series
of products aimed at antibody validation and biomarker discovery. We are
committed to provide both products and technical resource required by the
Human Protein Atlas project."
