PolyOne Appoints New Officers

CLEVELAND, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL)
today announced that Joseph P. Kelley has joined PolyOne as vice president of
planning and investor relations and Vincent W. Shemo has been promoted to vice
president and controller.

Prior to joining PolyOne, Mr. Kelley most recently served as the director of
acquisitions and investor relations at Lincoln Electric. Previously, Mr.
Kelley was European finance director for Lincoln Electric and lived in
Barcelona, Spain for four years. His experience includes the consolidation of
their global finance organization, the acquisition and integration of two
global companies and the development and execution of an investor relations
strategy. Before joining Lincoln Electric in 2003, Mr. Kelley held various
financial roles of increasing responsibility with CNH Global, Lante
Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Parker Hannifin. Mr. Kelley graduated
with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from John Carroll
University and is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Shemo joined PolyOne in September, 2008 and was most recently serving as
director of corporate finance. Prior to joining PolyOne, Mr. Shemo had
extensive financial leadership experience having served as controller for the
Specialty Products division of Novelis, Incorporated, a producer of
flat-rolled aluminum products. Prior to Novelis, Mr. Shemo held senior
financial roles with the Timken Company and ABB Incorporated. He has a
bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in
Accountancy and a Master's degree in Business Administration, both from John
Carroll University.
