ICDC College Wins Coveted Approval as Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) by
the Department of Veterans Affairs

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ICDC College was approved as an
Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) by the Department of Veterans Affairs and
may now offer veterans and military service members the opportunity to utilize
their new Post 9/11 GI bill benefits - the most comprehensive educational
benefits available since the original GI Bill was signed into law more than 60
years ago. Service members and veterans who served after September 11, 2001
may qualify for fully paid tuition and fees, transferability of their benefits
to their spouse and children, a monthly housing stipend, and a $1,000 a year
supplement for books and supplies. Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits are strictly
dedicated for use at VA approved institutions of higher learning (IHLs). ICDC
College earned classification as a degree granting institution and offers post
secondary level curricula and training leading to an Associate's degree as
well as short-term diploma programs to all uniformed personnel and veterans.

Since the ratification of the new GI bill, ICDC College has received
tremendous interest in its Alcohol and Drug Counseling curricula and
particularly for its industry-pioneering Homeland Security programs. These
programs speak to the specific interests of military service members and
veterans, not only for the specialized course content but also for the
opportunity to earn a diploma in as little as nine months or earn an
associate's degree in less than two years, through on-campus or online
instruction. Both programs offer veterans and service members the opportunity
to continue to contribute to their community and the general public. The
Homeland Security degree offers service members and veterans the prospect of
transferring their military experience and expertise in further protecting the
nation against a variety of threats. As Alcohol and Drug Counselors, military
professionals can help fight addiction and substance abuse that continues to
be prevalent problem for those presently serving and for those that have
transitioned back to civilian life.

David Hall, ICDC College's Regional Director states that reaching out to our
veterans and service members is one of ICDC College's highest priorities. "The
programs ICDC College offers, particularly for service members and veterans,
are relevant, critically important opportunities to gain additional training
and education. The programs help these brave men and women continue to serve
the public as well as transition into civilian life with a bright promise for
the future. For ICDC College, the IHL designation serves as a call to reach
out to our men and women in uniform to assist them in navigating the road back
home, and offers the knowledge and skills necessary to help their fellow
service members integrate into society again. For the college, there is no
higher honor than to serve our military and veterans who have so selflessly
defended our nation. It is our chance to assist them in pursuing their goals
and enhancing their lives after the military."
