USO Supports Fort Hood In Aftermath of Shooting

Summary The USO is directly supporting the Fort Hood community, and collecting and providing funds to other organizations providing services in the aftermath of the November 5 shooting at Fort Hood.
Details The USO is an active member of the Fort Hood Community and was engaged even as the events unfolded. Since the shooting, the USO has been working with the command and organizations (TAPS, Gold Star Mothers, AUSA and others) to deliver services to soldiers and families. One hundred percent of funds collected for the USO`s Fort Hood appeal will go directly to provide counseling, travel, housing, food, and other services. The USO center and mobile USOs are onsite to provide meals and a respite for
soldiers and their families around the clock.
