UPDATE 1-Pristine Power posts bigger Q3 loss
* Q3 shr loss C$0.09 vs C$0.07 a yr-ago
* Revenue up 21 pct

Nov 10 (Reuters) - Pristine Power Inc PPX.TO posted a wider third-quarter loss, hurt by a 26 percent spike in expenses.
Net loss was C$2.8 million ($2.65 million) or 9 Canadian cents a share, compared with a net loss of C$2.3 million, or 7 Canadian cents a share, a year ago.
Pristine, which owns and operates independent power plants, said revenue increased 21 percent to C$624,000.
Overall expenses increased about 26 percent to C$3.7 million, mainly due to a 29 percent increase in plant operating costs and higher general and administrative expenses.
Analysts on average were expecting a loss of 10 Canadian cents on revenue of C$800,000, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Shares of Pristine, which have gained more than 20 percent in the last three months, closed at C$2.54 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
