TrygVesta Q3 lags consensus, ups '09 earnings view

COPENHAGEN Nov 10 (Reuters) - The Nordic region's second-biggest insurer TrygVesta (TRYG.CO) reported a smaller rise than expected in third-quarter pretax profits on Tuesday and raised its full-year 2009 earnings guidance.

The pretax profit was 717 million Danish crowns ($144 million) compared with a year-earlier 198 million, and a mean forecast for 778 million in a Reuters poll of ten analysts.

The Danish firm repeated its guidance for an 8 percent premium growth this year but raised its forecast for pretax profit to 2.4 billion crowns from an earlier 2.2 billion.
