Socket Systems, LLC Under New Ownership - Manufacturing the Lumber Link Metal
Joinery Building System

CANFIELD, Ohio, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Owner Ron Cianciola purchased Socket
Systems, founded 1983, in November, 2007. Socket Systems (www.socketsys.com),
manufactures a steel joinery system called Lumber Link. This 3/16" steel
"socket," joins 6-inch x 6-inch rough-cut timbers or wood members, to create a
clear span building frame. The standard Lumber Link kit will create an open
area up to 30 feet wide. Options include Porch Extensions of 15 feet on each
side, multiple roof options and building styles. The Gambrel roof option is
perfect for a spacious second floor.

The new "6-inch x 8-inch Hercules Fixture" allows for clear span widths up to
60 feet with certain requirements. We also offer Steel Rafters custom made to
your specifications for larger buildings. Second floor steel I-beams with
pre-welded tabs, for the floor joists, are available at your request. Custom
fixtures for cathedral ceilings, oversize door openings, and different roof
pitches are common. The spacing of each bay frame/kit depends on which fixture
you choose and your specific climate requirements.

Frames are assembled on the ground and raised into place using the foot
locking system. No cranes or lifting equipment is needed and vertical supports
are not set into cement, to eventually rot. Lumber Link does not require
pressure-treated lumber and uses much less wood than trusses, making us an
environmentally friendly, green company.

Lumber Link has been used to build garages, additions, porches, carports,
businesses, airplane hangars, churches, commercial barns, storage facilities,
homes and any type of pole barn imaginable.

This versatile building system can be erected by contractors or the
do-it-yourself, builder. Complete building plans are available for sale on the
website. Architectural engineering services are available for simple or
detailed projects. We are glad to answer any of your questions. Be sure to
check your local building requirements. Lumber Link is approved for stick-post
building by the 2006 International Building Code. Call 800-724-8250 for
details.
