Crossing Automation Announces Executive Management Team

FREMONT, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the recent acquisition of Asyst Technologies atmospheric products and intellectual property, Crossing Automation, Inc. (www.crossinginc.com), today announced several key appointments to its management team including James McCormick, CFO; Randy Clegg, vice president of sales; Frank Kohoutek, vice president of operations; May Su, vice president of core products and Tim Lenihan, vice president of new products. The appointments follow the naming of Bob MacKnight as President and CEO on September 2, 2009. "With the expanded product portfolio, Crossing has a tremendous market opportunity," said MacKnight. "The ability to deliver great products and customer service to our OEM and IDM customers and drive the company to profitability in the near future is dependent upon the quality of personnel we have working at all levels. These appointments represent the kind of leadership we need in our management to ensure we reach our potential in the shortest possible timeframe." New CFO James McCormick has responsibility for the company's financial operations and reporting. James comes to Crossing from Podtech Network, Inc. where he was CEO, before which he was the COO/CFO at Serious Materials/Quiet Solutions. He has over 20 years of experience in senior management positions across a variety of technology-related companies. James has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Toledo and a MBA from the University of Michigan. In his role as vice president of sales, Randy Clegg will be responsible for increasing worldwide sales across both of Crossing's primary product lines. Coming from Asyst Technologies where he held the position of vice president, customer solutions group, Randy has demonstrated knowledge of both the technology of automation and a firm commitment to customer support. Prior to Asyst, Randy was the executive vice president of field operations at Metara Inc. and president, North America operations at Novellus Systems. Randy holds a BS from Oklahoma State University. Frank Kohoutek has been named Crossing's vice president of operations, with direct responsibility for outsourced manufacturing, IT and facility management. Frank comes from Mattson Technology where he served as vice president of global operations, providing him the industry background and appreciation for the requirements of OEMs within the semiconductor manufacturing industry. During 12 years with Mattson, Frank held a number of positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to Mattson, Frank worked for Bell Industries, Solid State Devices, Tritek Engineering & Manufacturing, and Bytex Corporation. Frank holds a BS in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University. Tim Lenihan comes to Crossing Automation as the company's vice president of new products. Tim has responsibility for global business development of Crossing's full range of vacuum automation products. Tim comes to Crossing from Asyst Technologies where he served as senior director of account management and senior director of marketing. Prior to Asyst, Tim worked for Intrabay by Haas, Brooks - PRI Automation, and Verteq, Inc. Tim holds a BS in Finance from the University of Santa Clara. Joining Crossing as vice president of core products, May Su will oversee the company's atmospheric automation products. May has an extensive background in the semiconductor industry holding positions of increasing responsibility over her 20 years with companies including Nova Measuring Instruments, Aviza Technology, KLA-Tencor Corp., and Lam Research. May holds a BS from Cornell University, a MS from the University of California - Berkely and a MBA from Santa Clara University.
