Unique Philanthropy Model Connects Non-Profit Organizations with Senior
Technology Executives to Promote the Advancement of Corporate Philanthropy
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
Doing IT for Good (DITFG), the corporate philanthropy platform of strategic
advisory firm Landmark Ventures, today announces a Request for Proposals for its
2010 annual grant cycle. Doing IT for Good was founded in 2007 to bring top
corporate executives and cutting edge technology companies together in support
of deserving nonprofits making a significant social impact.

DITFG seeks proposals from technology-related nonprofits that are committed to
improving the social and economic status of their community. Ideal organizations
are capable of navigating systemic challenges, and would benefit from financial
assistance and pro bono management consulting to reach the next stage of growth.
Organizations at all stages of development are encouraged to apply. The Request
for Proposals is available beginning November 12th. Completed applications are
due by December 14th, 2009. Applications may be downloaded at:

"DITFG is a chance for leading corporate executives to apply their professional
experience and interests to support meaningful social causes. It allows us to
step outside of a simple funding model and produce a highly-engaged experience
including skill-based volunteerism which maximizes the combined social impact of
our network," says Zeev Klein, General Partner at Landmark Ventures. "Now more
than ever, it is more important that individuals and corporations alike consider
creative ways of supporting the nonprofit community by opening their calendars,
wallets and hearts."

Doing IT for Good uses a unique model combining financial grants, network
building, and ongoing organizational assistance. The program is designed to
promote corporate social responsibility within the technology arena, and draw
attention to unique nonprofits that leverage technology to affect change.

Previous nonprofits include YearUp, which provides urban young adults with a
unique combination of academic and professional technology experience, and
NPower, which offers comprehensive, high-quality and affordable technology
assistance to other nonprofit groups.
