announced today that it has been named a finalist in the annual Corporate
Secretary Magazine Awards in the category of "Best Overall Governance,
Compliance and Ethics Program." Brightpoint was a finalist along with AGCO,
Fluor, The Hartford Financial Services Group and Xerox.

The award-winners were decided by an eight-person judging panel including
Michael Oxley, former US congressman and chairman of the House Financial
Services Committee; Norman Veasey, former Chief Justice of Delaware; Roel
Campos, former SEC commissioner; Dennis Johnson, former director of corporate
governance, CalPERS; and Charles Elson of the John Weinberg Center for Corporate
Governance, University of Delaware.
