Conference in Atlanta, GA on November 19, 2009. During his presentations, Mr.

What: "How to Meet New Governmental Regulations for Security of Patient Information"
Session 1: 11:05am-12:00pm, Peachtree Room H (Ninth Floor)
This presentation will cover new regulations on patient information security imposed by ARRA HITECH ACT and the FTC RED FLAGS RULE. Areas such as new disclosure requirements, privacy breach detection and patient notification will be discussed. There will also be a discussion of the new solutions that address these issues and give Privacy and Compliance Officers more control, information and detection capabilities.
"How Implementing Thin Clients and Virtual Desktops in a Clinical Environment Can Make Your Caregivers more Efficient"
Session 2: 2:05pm-3pm ET, Peachtree Room H (Ninth Floor)
During this session, Mr. Lindsay will discuss the basic components of a virtual desktop environment within a clinical environment. There will be a discussion of the pros and cons as well as things to consider when planning an implementation. A case study of a large thin-client implementation within a metropolitan hospital system will also be presented. The emphasis will be on increasing efficiency for caregivers so that they can spend more time with patients.
Who: Mr. Lindsay spent nine years in the industrial distribution business and over 30 in the IT space. He has spent 25 years with Emtec, focusing on the healthcare market specifically for the last 2 years with an emphasis on bringing IT solutions to healthcare clients that save money and/or provide more efficiency to their operations. Mr. Lindsay is a graduate of The Citadel with a B.S. in Business Administration and Clemson University with an M.B.A.
