POULSBO, WA, Nov 12 (MARKET WIRE) --
Paladin Data Systems Corporation's recently launched Advanced Skills
Management system (ASM III) has been recognized as one of the Top 5
Department of Defense (DoD) Program Award recipients by the National
Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) in conjunction with Raytheon
Company and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center - Keyport (NUWC).

The award recognizes organizations employing well-defined and proven
processes and practices to develop, manage, and integrate software and
state-of-the-art hardware that result in successful delivery of programs
with significant software content to DoD. ASM III allows the DoD to
proactively assess and assign personnel to best meet the strategic goals
of the military while reducing costs for training. According to Juan
Haley, Paladin's ASM III project lead, "The award recognizes Paladin's
highly successful software design methodologies, and effective teamwork
across the three organizations as the key to delivering high quality
software to the DoD on time and on budget."

Paladin has been working with the military for over 10 years on a system
that has assisted in the qualification of over 60,000 personnel by
managing maintenance training records and standardizing the processes.
The success of the program has created demand from other military units
for the system and Paladin knew the system had wide reaching uses for
training and development of military personnel. This demand led to the
development of ASM III.

ASM III allows commanders to view capabilities of their forces from the
broadest scope to the narrowest detail. "ASM III will revolutionize the
way the Department of Defense does business," states Jim Nall, president
and CEO of Paladin. "With clear visibility into workforce qualification
and readiness, Commanders and supervisors can proactively align mission
requirements with staffing capabilities and ensure they have the right
person in the right place at the right time. It is a great honor to be
recognized by NDIA on this effort."

Representatives of Paladin, Raytheon, NUWC-Keyport will accept the award
at the NDIA annual conference in San Diego on October 28, 2009.
