SAN MATEO, CA, Nov 12 (MARKET WIRE) --
First To File(R) (FTF), the world's leading patent document management
company, today announced the availability of a fully integrated Workflow
Module for its Electronic File Room(TM) (EFR) patent document management
service. The new module helps patent attorneys create custom multi-step,
multi-participant workflows, ensuring that complex, time-sensitive patent
prosecution processes are handled efficiently and on time. These
processes are typically associated with documents managed by EFR, such as
invention disclosure statements, office actions, or notices of missing
parts. More information about FTF, EFR, and the Workflow Module is
available at www.firsttofile.com.

FTF announced separately today that leading patent prosecution law firm
Young & Thompson (Y&T) has selected and deployed EFR. Y&T is the first FTF
customer to deploy the new Workflow Module.

Using the Workflow Module, tasks can be assigned to individuals, groups,
or pools inside and outside an organization, such as outside counsel.
Tasks can be re-assigned when necessary and can also be rejected and sent
back to the previous owner. Sub-tasks or routines within a major task can
also be created. Each workflow participant has a task inbox as part of a
personalized dashboard, and work-in-process can be monitored and managed
with the Workflow Module's reporting capabilities.

"The new Workflow Module provides in-house and law firm patent teams with
unprecedented visibility into and management of complex, multi-step
workflows at every stage of the patent lifecycle," said James Bergeron,
chief executive officer, First To File. "The new capabilities are
essential to efficiently scaling patent prosecution efforts in any size
organization."
