The Board of Baronsmead VCT is pleased to announce that Valerie Marshall has
been appointed as a Director of the Company with effect from 12 November 2009.

Valerie Marshall is CEO of Stratagem Corporate Finance and Strategy Limited,
chair of University of Kent, a non executive director of Fusion Lifestyle
Limited, NanoBioDesign Ltd and Marshall Capital Limited.

Gill Nott, Chairman of Baronsmead VCT plc, commented:

"Valerie brings a wealth of experience working in private equity at 3i and the
Scottish Development Agency prior to specialising in corporate finance and this
appointment further strengthens the Board."
