ANGLO & OVERSEAS PLC

Based on a bid price valuation, the unaudited net asset value per Ordinary
Share of the Company as at 11 November 2009 was 109.33 pence including
estimated current period revenue and 108.60 pence excluding current period
revenue.

This is based on 74,317,881 Ordinary Shares, being the issued capital of
83,275,319 Ordinary Shares less 8,957,438 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
