Dow Kokam LLC Names CEO

MIDLAND, Mich., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dow Kokam LLC, the newly
formed joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) and TK
Advanced Battery LLC, announced today the appointment of Ravi Shanker,
President and CEO. Shanker previously served as Corporate Director of Ventures
& Business Development for The Dow Chemical Company.

The new company will produce affordable batteries with advanced superior
lithium polymer (SLPB) technology for the hybrid and electric vehicle markets.

unique combination of scalable technology, manufacturing expertise and

Dow Kokam is headquartered in Midland, Michigan, where it is scheduled to
begin construction of a new 800,000 square-foot production facility in the
coming months.
