HOUSTON, TX, Nov 12 (MARKET WIRE) --
Lapolla Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: LPAD) ("Lapolla") is a Houston based
manufacturer and supplier of spray foam insulation, coatings, and
equipment designed to reduce energy consumption in the residential and
commercial markets, for both new construction and retrofit applications.

Philip and Joey Stott and their children were selected as an "Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition" family, following their nomination for the program
by family friends. Their Illinois home included a barn, chicken coop,
pig-pen, other out-buildings and a very old farmhouse with no insulation
and 100-year-old wiring, all of which the family planned to update and
improve over the coming years.

Three months after purchasing the farm, Joey was diagnosed with acute
myeloid leukemia and was told the only cure was a bone marrow transplant
from a matching donor. Miraculously, an anonymous donor was found in
October 2004. She spent the majority of the next two years in the
hospital, missing the first two springs on the farm. The Stott family had
to unfortunately postpone their plans of fixing their farmhouse and
setting up college funds for their kids.

One night while Phillip was working a late night shift, the floor in their
100-year-old farmhouse started to shake and Joey saw electrical outlets
sparking and exploding. She quickly got the children and ran to the barn
for safety, from where they watched their house become consumed by
multiple explosions. The house was seriously damaged -- walls were
knocked down fighting the fire and much of the furniture was destroyed.

ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" design team called on Lapolla to
donate the spray foam material and coordinate the labor required to
insulate the new Stott family home. Four spray foam insulation crews
traveled from Illinois and Michigan to insulate the walls and unvented
attic of the new 3,300 sq. ft. farm home.

Douglas J. Kramer, CEO and President of Lapolla, commented, "Working as a
partner with Extreme Makeover and the homebuilder, Hasken Construction, to
fix the Stott family's farmhouse was an honor. Closed-Cell spray foam was
recommended for this project as the house is openly exposed to the
elements. We wanted to select an insulation system that could be used as a
vapor retarder, an air barrier, and add strength to the wall and roof
assembly."

The spray foam insulation applicators that donated their time to complete
the Stott family home included: Fencil Urethane, Saunders Insulation,
Precise and Snug Insulation, and Cozy Cover. Their contributions will
allow the family to enjoy the benefits of low energy costs and a
healthier indoor environment.
