WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The holiday season is a time for
celebration and great food. This year, a new web site,
www.holidayfoodsafety.org puts food safety first in the planning and
preparation of holiday meals. Developed by the non-profit Partnership for Food
Safety Education (PFSE), the site features food shopping and preparation tips,
recipes, food safety advice, and children's activities, all in one location.

The PFSE joins consumer education efforts of the U.S. Department of
Agriculture/Food Safety and Inspection Service, the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services/ Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention and key consumer, industry associations and health
professionals, to educate the public about safe food handling and preparation.
