Big blast in Pakistani city of Peshawar - police

PESHAWAR, Pakistan Nov 13 (Reuters) - A big blast shook the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Friday, residents and police said, though it was not immediately clear what the cause was, or if there were any casualties.

Police said the blast happened in a military neighbourhood of the northwestern city, where militants have launched several big bomb attacks since the army began an offensive against Taliban fighters on Oct. 17. (Writing by Robert Birsel; Editing by Jerry Norton)
