Japan's Kansai shuts reactor for unplanned checks
TOKYO |
TOKYO Nov 13 (Reuters) - Japan's second-biggest utility, Kansai Electric Power Co (9503.T), said on Friday it shut the 340-megawatt No.1 reactor at its Mihama plant earlier in the day for an unplanned inspection.
The company said a problem occurred while it was boosting power generation from the unit. The reactor had been restarted on Nov. 9. (Reporting by Osamu Tsukimori)
