Rolls Royce seals $1.5 bln deal with Air China

LONDON, Nov 15 (Reuters) - British engine maker Rolls-Royce (RR.L) said it has won a $1.5 billion order with Air China to power 20 aircraft, and a second order with Ethiopian Airlines worth $480 million.

The aircraft, to be delivered to Air China from 2011, will be powered by Rolls-Royce's Trent 700 engines.

The engine maker also said Ethiopian Airlines has ordered Trent XWB engines for 12 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, with entry into service expected in 2017

Ethiopian Airlines separately confirmed an order for the aircraft at the Dubai Air Show Airbus on Suday. [ID:nLF199926] (Reporting by Lorraine Turner; Editing by Hans Peters)
