TAIPEI Nov 16 (Reuters) - Taiwan aims to complete regulatory amendments within two months to allow Chinese banks to invest in the island's lenders, Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission said on Monday, in further opening of trade ties on both sides.

Sean Chen, chairman of Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission, made the comments during a news conference after announcing that Taiwan had signed a long-awaited financial service pact with China. (Reporting by Faith Hung; Editing by Lee Chyen Yee)
