Five Democratic Senators will give back-to-back speeches on the Senate floor tomorrow morning to discuss how exchanges will help increase competition and lower the cost of health care for small businesses. The Senate plans to institute consumer protections and market reforms, like prohibiting insurance companies from denying coverage due to preexisting conditions and health status. These reforms will level the playing field for small businesses, who are paying 18 percent more than their larger competitors for health care.
