Democratic Senators to Discuss Reforms for Small Business Health Care

Five Democratic Senators will give back-to-back speeches on the Senate floor
tomorrow morning to discuss how exchanges will help increase competition and
lower the cost of health care for small businesses. The Senate plans to
institute consumer protections and market reforms, like prohibiting insurance
companies from denying coverage due to preexisting conditions and health
status. These reforms will level the playing field for small businesses, who
are paying 18 percent more than their larger competitors for health care.
