Lorraine Bracco joins "Rizzoli" crime pilot
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "The Sopranos" alumna Lorraine Bracco is returning to series television with a role in TNT's drama pilot "Rizzoli."
Based on Tess Gerritsen's mystery novels, the project revolves around the crime-solving team of Boston police detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and medical examiner Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander).
Bracco will play Rizzoli's mother Angela, who despite her tough Boston exterior is a beautiful woman, loyal wife and mother of three.
