TOKYO Nov 18 (Reuters) - Shares in Japan Airlines Corp 9205.T fell to their lowest level since their 2002 re-listing on Wednesday after Japan's transport minister said he had never said a court-led bankruptcy for the troubled airline was impossible.

Shares in JAL fell 2.9 percent to 99 yen, falling below the previous low of 100 yen hit on Oct. 16.

JAL shares have lost 44 percent of their value compared to their mid-September peak of 178 yen.

Asked about JAL in a parliament session, Transport Minister Seiji Maehara said: "I have said that JAL is not allowed to fail or be liquidated. I have never said a court-led bankruptcy is impossible." (Reporting by Masayuki Kitano)
