SHANGHAI SECURITIES NEWS

-- China Mobile (0941.HK), the world's largest mobile carrier, has started preparations to list on Shanghai's international board and is selecting underwriters now, said Chairman Wang Jianzhou.

-- Several cities in China are facing a shortage of natural gas supplies, which industry experts said would spur reforms to boost gas prices.

-- China should gradually reduce the state-held stakes in state enterprises, said Xia Bin, head of the financial institute at the Development Research Centre.

-- China Minsheng Banking Corp's (600016.SS) Hong Kong initial public offering was 160 times subscribed by individual investors, with more than HK$240 billion ($30.97 billion) in funds locked up during the subscription process.

-- China will seek uniform standards for labelling low carbon-emitting products as part of its efforts to cut energy consumption and lower carbon emissions, said Wu Xiaoqing, vice-minister of the environment.
