Nov 19 (Reuters) - Indian wind power company Suzlon Energy Ltd (SUZL.BO) said on Thursday that it sold a 35 percent stake in Belgium's Hansen Transmissions HSNT.L through a secondary placing of about 235 million depository interests.
Suzlon said it placed the depository interests at 95 pence each, valuing the placing at about 224 million pounds ($373.5 million).
After the placing, Suzlon holds 26.06 percent of the depository interests in Hansen, a London-listed wind turbine gearbox manufacturer.
Separately, Hansen said it was not in any talks that may lead to an offer for the company and that it was no longer in an "offer period".
Suzlon, one of the world's largest makers of wind power systems, said the placing would not impact its long-term supply arrangements with Hansen.
Shares in Hansen fell 7 percent to 107.5 pence by 1611 GMT on the London Stock Exchange, while Suzlon closed at 75.20 rupees in Mumbai market .BSESN. (Reporting by Purwa Naveen Raman and Aditi Samajpati in Bangalore; Editing by Aradhana Aravindan and Mike Miller)
