 - Q3 GDP data release MYGDP=ECI, Reuters poll sees 2
percent contraction vs previous year. 6pm
 - Oct CPI MYCPI=ECI, Reuters poll forecsat 1.4 percent
fall from year ago. 5pm.
 - ITS and SGS Cargo surveyors Intertek Testing Services and
Societe Generale de Surveillance unveil Nov 1-20 Malaysian palm
oil export data. (0100g and 0630g)
 - Southeast Asia's largest budget carrier, AirAsia
(AIRA.KL) is expected to report weak earnings for
July-September as yields stayed low and oil prices rose.
 MARKET SNAPSHOTS
 *  Malaysia's stock exchange .KLSE edged up 0.12 percent,
with top mobile phone operator Maxis (MXSC.KL) making a strong
market debut after its $3.3 billion initial public offering,
ending at 5.42 ringgit compared with its IPO price of 5.00
ringgit. [.KLSE]
 *  U.S. stocks slid on Thursday as another batch of economic
data pointed to the fragility of the recovery and a brokerage's
dim view on the semiconductor sector hit technology shares.

 * U.S. crude futures fell more than 2 percent on Thursday as a
stronger dollar weighed and weaker equities raised concern
about the economy and a potential rebound in energy demand.

Thursday as investors locked in their profits, after the price

 ASIA MARKETS NEWS - For an outlook of Asian stock trading,
click on [STXNEWS/AS] -  The Indonesian rupiah and Indian rupee
slipped in spot and offshore markets on Thursday on jitters of
possible official steps to curb capital inflows after Brazil's
latest attempt to limit the rise of its currency. [EMRG/FRX] -

the economic outlook pushed up big caps such as SingTel and
