SCOTTISH WIDOWS INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) said it hired James Taylor as Investment Director, Government Bonds. Taylor will be responsible for managing a selection of global government bond portfolios and for contributing towards SWIP's bond investment strategy. James will report to Graeme Caughey, Head of Government Bonds at SWIP.

HSBC Actuaries & Consultants (HACL), a division of HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA.L), appointed Simon Taylor as head of Corporate Consultancy Service.

SANTANDER CORPORATE BANKING (SAN.MC) (STD.N)

Retail and commercial bank Santander Corporate Banking (SAN.MC) (STD.N) appointed Nick MacHugh as relationship director to its Yorkshire Corporate Banking Centre team.

XCHANGING PLC (XCH.L)

Global business processor Xchanging Plc (XCH.L) appointed Max Pell as managing director of Xchanging Ins-sure Services (XIS) and Xchanging Claims Services (XCS), replacing Roger Townsend who will retire early in 2010.

ING INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT EUROPE

ING Investment Management Europe appointed Michel van Elk as chief executive ING Investment Management Europe, replacing Gilbert Van Hassel, who has taken on the role of global CEO ING Investment Management.

ROTHSCHILD

Investment bank Rothschild appointed John Kingman, a former UK Financial Investments chief executive as managing director, effective March 2010.

European equities investment firm SAM Capital Partners appointed Andrew Kennedy as chief operating officer.
