Southern Ga. Hatch 2 reactor up to 94 pct
NEW YORK |
NEW YORK Nov 24 (Reuters) - Southern Co's (SO.N) 883-megawatt Unit 2 at the Hatch nuclear power station in Georgia ramped up to 94 percent power by early Tuesday from 60 percent early Monday, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said in a report.
The company reduced the unit for a rod pattern adjustment, which helps the fuel in the reactor to burn more efficiently.
