World Vision Expert Available to Discuss Why Charity's Gift Catalog Is Defying
Charitable Giving Projections

WHO: Devin Hermanson, Senior Director, World Vision's Gift Catalog

Despite the global recession, World Vision has seen its Gift Catalog revenue
increase 22% compared to last year, and since October 1, the charity has
raised more than $3.6 million toward its $25 million goal this holiday season.
As the organization heads into Black Friday, World Vision is cautiously
optimistic that this giving trend will continue throughout the holiday season.

Devin Hermanson, senior director for World Vision's Gift Catalog, is available
to discuss the charity's financial outlook heading into Black Friday.
Hermanson is a charitable giving expert and has been working with World Vision
since 2002. In that time, donations to the Gift Catalog have increased from
$3 million to over $23 million.

Currently, Hermanson is on an around-the-world fundraising campaign called the
"True Spirit of Christmas." The tour began in New York City and includes
stops in Ecuador, Cambodia, Zambia and Ethiopia. At each stop, Hermanson and a
video crew are documenting how lives are changed through items purchased in
the Gift Catalog.

World Vision launched the Gift Catalog in 1996. Last year, donations through
the catalog helped more than 500,000 people around the world. Visit
