Mexico peso jumps as US data backs recovery hopes

MEXICO CITY Nov 25 (Reuters) - Mexico's peso firmed sharply on Wednesday after better-than-expected jobs and home sales data boded well for a recovery in the United States, Mexico's top trading partner.

The peso MXN= MEX01 gained 0.52 percent to 12.83 per dollar as the U.S. currency dropped to a 15-month low against a basket of currencies.
