Japan's Hirano: govt monitoring forex carefully

TOKYO Nov 27 (Reuters) - Japan's top government spokesman said on Friday the government is monitoring currencies carefully and rapid swings are undesirable.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirofumi Hirano also told a news conference that the government will be taking economic steps to avoid a double-dip recession. (Reporting by Hideyuki Sano)
