Mexico's peso rebounds as Dubai fears ease

MEXICO CITY Nov 27 (Reuters) - Mexico's peso firmed sharply on Friday and stocks jumped, rebounding from steep losses in the prior session, as worries eased about the exposure of major global banks to Dubai's debt troubles.

The peso MXN= MEX01 gained as much as 0.58 percent to 12.905 per U.S. dollar while the IPC stock index .MXX gained 2 percent to 31,056 as index heavyweight America Movil (AMXL.MX) jumped nearly 4 percent.
