WASHINGTON Nov 30 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will raise the issue of costs but not go into specifics when he unveils a new Afghan strategy on Tuesday to deploy thousands more U.S. troops, the White House said on Monday.

"I know the president will touch on costs," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told a daily news briefing.

"I think you'll hear the president acknowledge the resource requirements and the responsibilities, and the trade-offs that are going to have be discussed here, and more importantly, on Capitol Hill," he said.
