EU extends review of Bilfinger Berger-MCE deal

BRUSSELS Nov 30 (Reuters) - EU competition authorities extended their review of German construction company Bilfinger Berger AG's (GBFG.DE) takeover of Austrian firm MCE AG on Monday after the companies offered remedies to ease competition concerns. The European Commission, the European Union's competition watchdog, set a new deadline of Dec. 18 for its decision on the deal. The previous deadline had been Dec. 4.
