Japan's Hirano: expects PM, BOJ gov to discuss QE

TOKYO Nov 30 (Reuters) - Japan's top government spokesman said on Monday that he expects Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa to discuss whether the central bank is considering quantitative easing.
"I expect that the topics to be discussed at the meeting will include whether the BOJ is considering the need for quantitative easing," Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirofumi Hirano told a news conference.
Hirano said that Hatoyama and Shirakawa are due to meet in the near future to exchange opinions, but details such as the time and place have not yet been decided.
