Taiwan dlr rises sharply after Dubai troubles ease

TAIPEI Nov 30 (Reuters) - The Taiwan dollar TWD=TP strengthened sharply on Monday, up from a one-week closing low, on gains in local stocks and global weakness in the safe haven U.S. dollar following a break in the Dubai debt crunch.

Minutes before the closing bell, the Taiwan dollar rose by more than T$0.2 to T$32.101 against the U.S. dollar. The Taiwan dollar closed at T$32.345 on Friday.
