Obama briefed generals on Afghanistan decision

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama briefed top generals on Sunday night about his decision on his Afghanistan strategy, the White House said.

The president, who will outline the strategy in a speech on Tuesday night, spoke with top military officials including Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Army General David Petraeus.
