Freddie Mac sells $4 bln 3-year reference notes

NEW YORK Dec 1 (Reuters) - Freddie Mac FRE.N FRE.P, the No. 2 U.S. home funding company, sold $4 billion of new three-year reference notes due Jan. 9, 2013, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters service.

The 1.375 percent notes were priced at 99.903 to yield 1.407 percent or 31 basis points over comparable U.S. Treasuries.

The joint lead managers on the sale were Barclays Capital, Banc of America and JP Morgan.
