Indian shares up 0.6 pct as Asian shares rise

MUMBAI Dec 1 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose 0.6 percent early on Tuesday, tracking gains in Asian shares and as better-than-expected September quarter GDP data kept sentiment upbeat.

At 9:55 a.m. (0425 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.56 percent at 17,020.81 points, with only one component declining.

The 50-share NSE index .NSEI was up 0.6 percent at 5,063.80.
