TEHRAN Dec 1 (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday international sanctions over the country's nuclear work would have no effect and any aggression against the Islamic state would be regretted.

"Sanctions will have no effect. Aggressors will regret their action as soon as they put their finger on the trigger," Ahmadinejad said on state television. (Tehran newsroom, +98 21 8820 8770)
